Adelphi Fascadale Batch 8 Highland Park 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A 14 year old Highland Park drawn from a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks.

Tasting note: Brilliant pale straw gold. Uncommonly floral and fruity for HP, in fact, tasted blind this could have been another distillery. Upfront with poached pear, fruit chocolate confectionary and more of the same in later sniffs; several minutes in the glass adds hints of lemon tart, cut grass and is more beeswax-like in the final pass. Soft and well rounded on entry. Mid palate is medium dry, middle weighted, oaky; spices up towards the finish where the orchard fruitiness is heavily emphasised. The salty, peaty edge arrives late. 1391 bottles produced. 46% Alc./Vol.
