2025 Dalmore Luminary No.3 17 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Dalmore's Luminary series, Collector range. A confusing release: for each Luminary (1, 2 or 3), there was a Collector version and a Rare version. The Rares were indeed very rare and came with an impressive age statement in a decanter-style bottle and presented in a specially designed display case. The Collectors have a more modest age statement but sport some uncommon cask combinations both from maturation as well as finishing. Each whisky was created under the supervision of Master Distiller Richard Paterson and Gregg Glass, Dalmore’s Master Whisky Maker. As for the Luminary part of the equation, Dalmore teamed up with some top architectural houses to create the various presentation cases.

The third and final Collectible is a 17 year old, initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in a mix of seven cask types: vintage and aged Calvados, Matusalem sherry, Apostoles sherry, Bordeaux red wine casks, Châteauneuf-du-Pape casks, and fully matured American white oak. Dalmore describes it as a layered, vibrant whisky with orchard fruit, Madagascan vanilla, cinnamon, rose water, butterscotch, red apple, tarte tatin, dark cacao, liquorice, cardamom, Seville orange, and green tea notes. This edition was also limited to 20,000 bottles and was created with Ben Dobbin of Foster + Partners. 49.2% Alc./Vol.
