A fresh, elegant Cabernet Franc with a dry, earthy red fruited finish.
Cabernet Franc fruit is all hand-picked into small baskets, double sorted and then destemmed but not crushed and fermented in small open vats. Gentle maceration over 3-4 weeks, followed by maturation in old oak foudres and sandstone amphorae for 7-12 months.
Dense dark red black colour with a vibrant red to dark red hue. Fragrant red currant and red liquorice aromas infused with fresh herbs mix with red cherry, earth and spice. The elegant, medium bodied palate is decorated with red currant and red cherry fruits which have a mildly juicy feel. Some red liquorice, fresh herb infusions, dusty earth and spice extend across the back half. Fresh, vibrant acidity with slightly grainy tannins. Dry, earthy red fruited finish.
