An exotic, texturally rich blend produced from Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and a small amount of Clairette. The Roussanne and Viognier are fermented in oak barrels ranging in age from new to 5 years old and then matured in the same barrels on lees for 6 months. The Clairette and White Grenache are stored in tank until blending and bottling.
Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Ripe peach and apricot scents jump out of the glass with some baked pear, dried honey, subtle crème brulee and spice notes also kicking in. Rich and viscous the palate is layered with luscious peach, apricot and ripe pear fruits over a honey drizzled backdrop. Spicy quince finish with a timely lick of balanced acidity freshening things up. Excellent power with a long generously proportioned and opulent aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
A killer white, the 2019 Duche D'Uzes Alba Dolia Blanc offers a beautiful nose of honeyed peach, lemon curd, white flowers, and toast. This carries to a medium-bodied, rounded, textured white with plenty of richness yet also a fresh, lively, elegant style that keeps you coming back to the glass. It reminds me more of Northern Rhône white with its aromatics. I would enjoy bottles over the coming year or two, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this keep for even upwards of a decade in cold cellars. Drink 2020-2030.
