2015 Mas des Volques Alba Dolia

An exotic, texturally rich blend produced from 50% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne and 5% Clairette. The Roussanne and Viognier are fermented in oak barrels ranging in age from new to 5 years old and then matured in the same barrels on lees for 6 months. The Clairette and White Grenache are stored in tank until blending and bottling.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of fresh pear, peach and apricot are intermixed with some honeysuckle and lemon. The palate is nicely textured and finishes fresh delivering generous flavours of apricot and peaches alongside some honeysuckle with a dry spicy finish that’s clean and well focused. Aftertaste of apricot, spicy peaches and honeysuckle.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
