
2014 Smiths Angaston 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

The very first release from their 2014 vintage, bottled in June 2025, marks an interesting direction Smiths Angaston has taken, treatment-wise. Aged for 8 years in seasoned oak, this expression was finished for 2 years in French oak that previously held sparkling wine. The exact composition, as far as we can tell, has not been disclosed. We would hazard a guess at a Chardonnay and Pinot blend, commonly used in Australian Sparkling. As usual, this release sold out not long after release, showing the tenacity of the fan base Smiths Angaston have accrued.
Notes from the Producer...
...a clean and fresh entry, showcasing sweet malted barley that unfolds into a long, silky texture with light peppery notes. The finish is vibrant and piercing, revealing tangy citrus fruits in a symphony of layered flavours.
Only 400 bottles produced. 43.5% Alc./Vol.
