2012 Chateau Grange Cochard Morgon Vieilles Vignes

Excellent depth of colour for the variety displaying a bright dark red purple core with black tinged edges and a dark purple red hue. Nosing reveals dark cherry and dusty earth aromas followed by a touch of meatiness and some inky spice end notes. Light weight with a dryish finish the palate has flavours of red and dark cherries over some earth, meaty characters and spice. Slightly dryish, but fine grained tannins provide some rustic grip on the finish. Aftertaste of dark and red cherries, dusty cedar, earth and spice. A light, dry dusty red with good underlying fruit.
