Ex-bourbon hogshead #1938 shows as a more developed counterpart to the distillery’s benchmark 10-year-old, with heightened tropical esters and a notably waxy, full-bodied texture. This single cask expression was matured entirely in refill American oak, allowing the distillate’s character to take centre stage with minimal cask influence. 57.5% Alc./Vol. 305 bottles produced. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Colour: Yellow gold. Nose: Lemon palmier, strawberry sherbet, menthol and blackcurrant. Palate: Dried passion fruit, butterscotch and leafy bergamot. Finish: Fine milled oatcake, warm baking spices and slick peppermint oil.
