2011 Lady of the Glen Linkwood Single Cask #301083 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: Matured in a Hogshead for eight years then re-racked in early 2019 into an x-Marsala barrique from Vino Marsala in Sicily adding hints of apricot and vanilla. Copper tinted. Very deep colour for its age. Lovely supple, rounded aromatics; moist raisin cake, Ovaltine then a little fig (or cumquat jam) comes through. Gorgeously weighted with the kind of delectable, oily, fruity malt that makes you come back for seconds. Just the right amount of lipsmacking tang at the finish where gobstopper enters late. Spicy and super tasty Linkwood. A few drops of water tames the prickle. 57.8% Alc./vol. 265 bottles. Non chill filtered.
