2011 Domaine Blain Gagnard Batard Montrachet Grand Cru

Brilliant straw colour with hints of pale gold around the edges and a very pale straw hue. Aromas of ripe pear intermixed with white peaches are shaded by light toasty oak with some cashew, subtle dried honey, biscuit and spice following. Medium weight with good richness and excellent persistence the palate is lighter and leaner in its mouthfeel than top vintages. It features a refined flavour profile of ripe pears intermixed with dried honey and roasted almonds followed by some creamy cashew and spicy biscuity oak. Clean dry finish with good lively acidity. Long aftertaste of pear, subtle dried honey, almonds, spicy toasted oak and delicate mineral infusions.
