2010 Lady of the Glen Mortlach Single Cask #300649 11 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: Mortlach is renowned for producing one of the industry's more full bodied spirits. Here, a finishing in oloroso casks adds further depth. The nose is slow to build, then malt-forward with poached pears and ginger biscuits. The entry is slightly hollow but rebounds with stewed plums and fruit'n'nut chocolate at the finish. A solid, textural malt, defined by tactile qualities more than conspicuous flavours. Continues to evolve with time in the glass. 55.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 300 bottles.
