Glenlossie was founded in 1876 near Elgin in Speyside, with its own platform at the Elgin-Perth railway. Using water from the Bardon Burn, the distillery is well-known for producing a light and delicate malt with fruity sweetness.

Cask strength bottlings of this ilk are not common. After maturation in a Bourbon Hogshead, Lady of the Glen followed it up with a finishing in an ex-Ruby Port Cask finish for over 6 months. Adding fresh, sweet red fruit flavours to the spirit, the Port barrel was sourced from a family-owned bodega near Porto in Portugal. We have six bottles from the total outturn of 287. Gregor Hannach describes flavours of nutty, fudge treacle and dried fig. 56.8% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
