2010 Domaine du Clos des Fees Vieilles Vignes

Produced from a blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Carignan and 15% Syrah. Opaque black purple colour with dark purple hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe blackberry and black cherries followed by some liquorice, dried meats and blackpepper. The palate has more weight and richness than the Les Sorcieres yet still has a sense of elegance about it. Mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, black cherries and ripe blackberries with some underlying meatiness with a spicy peppery back palate. Sturdy, slightly chewy tannin structure yet still relatively fine grained and in perfect balance. Long liquorice, black cherry, blackberry and peppery dried meats aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2018-2019).
