2009 Tomatin Caribbean Rum Cask 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

We've tasted several rum finished whiskies before (with varying degrees of success). Now Tomatin have released this gem - the whisky has spent nine years in bourbon casks before being transferred into x-Caribbean rum barrels. You might think it could be overdone, but when we tasted the previous release, the balance was impeccable. Expect warm flavours of soft tropical fruit, mocha and salted caramel, rounded off with a sweet rummy finish. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
