Young Caol Ilas are invariably good, especially when they're cask strength and from a first fill Oloroso butt. Bottled at 58.2% ABV as part of the North Star Cask Series Number 011, 410 bottles were produced. Tasting notes suggest aromas of Fireworks, citrus and Cuban smoke, with flavours of lemon sherbet, white pepper and vanilla pod sweetness. The finish offers smoky cranberry and pistachio ice cream. Non chill filtered.
