2009 Domaine Patrice Magni Chateauneuf du Pape

Tasting note....
Deep very dark red colour with a brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of dried cherries over some subtle dark raspberry, stewed fruits, old cedar, leather and spice. Medium bodied with flavours of dried cherries and black raspberries over a touch of stewed fruits, liquorice, cedar and leather with a very spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Good depth with a medium to long aftertaste of spicy dried cherries, black raspberries, leather and earthy cedar.
Drink now (2016).
