Tasting notes: [15ml sample] American oak matured, prior to a brief finish in an ex-Port cask. The deep colour anticipates something rich and ripe, but the nose suggests otherwise. Prickly spirit, Worcestershire sauce and some sulphur which also comes through on the palate. Feels somewhat thin and flat; no Port detectable, and not much malt either. Perhaps the sample was tainted? ...otherwise completely unexpected and out of character for Cooper's Choice selections. 51% Alc./Vol. 252 bottles. Non chill filtered.
Notes from the bottlers... Expect aromas of red fruits and berries, with a sweet candied fruit palate balanced with building spice notes. The finish is rich sweet wine gums with more spice.
