2009 Adelphi Benrinnes 11 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A follow up to Adelphi's deep, dark and very heavily sherried 10 year old released earlier this year, also distilled in 2009 and matured in a first fill sherry cask. Adelphi's Charles McLean loves the Benrinnes style which is a famously big, robust Speysider. Showing fantastic colour for it's relative youth, Adelphi's past selections have showcased the distillery's oft cited "meatiness" alongside notes of rich red fruits and toffee. The brand has never become 'mainstream', so it's always appreciated when a bottler of Adelphi's stature sources such a gem. 57.8% Alc./Vol. 321 bottles.
