2008 Domaine Blain-Gagnard Criots-Batard Montrachet Grand Cru

Brilliant pale straw colour with pale gold edges and watery hue. The nose shows a touch more restraint than the 2008 Domaine Blain-Gagnard Batard Montrachet Grand Cru upon first sniff but gains intensity as the wine sits in the glass. Lifted aromas of white peach, cashew and light honeycomb are followed by some spicy oak notes. Mouthfilling palate flavours of white peach, cashew, spicy oak and dried honey are followed by some roast almond. Almost creamy like texture with long white peach, cashew, dried honey, spice and hazelnut aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2011-2017).
