2007 Benriach Batch 14 Single Cask #101 Peated/Oloroso Cask 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This was distilled on 19th January 2007 using peated malt, before being filled to a first fill Oloroso sherry cask to mature for 10 years. Bottled in June 2017 at a strength of 61.9% alc./vol. 475 bottles produced. Extremely limited.

Other reviews... As the nose suggests, this is bold and cask-driven, but importantly the BenRiach sweetness is retained at its core. The flavours become more scented, with added incense, but the distillate holds on (just), resisting the grip of a pretty forceful cask. Water adds some sun-dried peppers and, as it develops, the tannins ratchet up the pressure. - scotchwhisky.com
