2006 Domaine d'Eugenie Vosne-Romanee

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with brick red hue. The nose displays perfumed scents of dark cherry intermixed with some gamey leather like characters followed by some violets, earth and spice notes. Light to medium weight but possessing good power the palate delivers flavours of dark cherries, some gamey anise like characters, earth, cedar and spice. Slightly dryish and chewy tannins but well balanced. Long aftertaste of dark cherry, earth, game and spice. A masculine styled Pinot.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2011-2017).
