2006 Claxton's Exploration Series Glen Elgin 14 Year Old Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: An all-sherry matured Glen Elgin sporting deep yet soft aromas, at moments, almost fruit nectar-like interchanging with an attractive and drier cedar-cigar box note. Graceful malt with the fruitiness restrained. Lovely supple mouthfeel; the curious tobacco / sweet woody note adding a touch of cognac-like elegance to the warm finish. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from Claxton's... Nose: Soft fruits. Golden Delicious. Heather. Hint of toffee. Mild spices. Palate: Sweet oak, barley sugar and spices. Finish: Sweet with some vanilla and spice in the aftertaste.
