Tasting note: Distilled in November 1998, this has a dryish aroma suggesting semi ripe strawberries, followed by plum, dried apple - even a little fig and late beeswax. Juicy, full and beautifully rounded, it also has the softest, creamiest mouthfeel of the bunch with the spices kept in check by sweet, dense malt. Mid palate fruits seamlessly transition into dark chocolate. Late warming wood spices maintain the medium long finish. 53.7% Non chill filtered. 234 bottles.
Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Intense malted barley and vanilla. Palate: Summer fruits, hay, gentle oak. Finish: medium length, soft, sweet.
