This rare old malt whisky from Ardbeg distillery is drawn from a single cask and bottled at cask strength. A single new toasted oak hogshead was filled on May the 11th 1998, then bottled on December 10th 2008 for the 2009 Feis Ile. 252 bottles released. One only to sell. 54% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... Excellent results. If this was really a one-time experiment, then that’s a big shame. Both Ardbeg casks are fetching unethical prices on eBay but they are stunning casks. I don’t see much differences between the two, but this one was a little bit more complex. - www.whiskynotes.be
