1998 Adelphi Jura 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

One of less than a handful of indie Juras to hit our shelves. Like Glenmorangie, Jura has some of the tallest stills in Scotland which translates into a lighter spirit. To discover a single cask Oloroso matured expression is unusual indeed, so it should have extra weight and richness. Like others in the recent Adelphi collection, the spectacular colour says it all. Extremely limited stocks.

Notes from Adelphi... A rare older bottling from this famous Island, the Jura has a lovely colour of old oak and having spent its life in a refill Oloroso sherry Hogshead. On the nose we found space hoppers, window putty and oodles of marzipan, fruitcake, Nutella and rice pudding, with syrup and a fair amount of funk. The palate delivers Underberg bitters, juicy sultanas, sugared almonds. Stolen cake with clove syrup, and finishing herbaceous. 54.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 265 bottles from cask 2146.
