Tasting note: Flawless bright gold. Atypical Bowmore aromatics with the Sherry seemingly cancelling out the peat; otherwise...walnuts, leather hand bag and white pepper with a distant whiff of maritime freshness. The oily texture is a delight as is the attractive early malt sweetness, but the tingling, nippy spices and high ABV almost overwhelm the latent flavours towards the finish. Bracing but better balanced with water. 57.2% Alc./Vol. 545 bottles
