1996 Adelphi Clynelish 19 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Drawn from an active, refill American oak ex-Bourbon hogshead (with new ends). This is one of only 273 bottles from cask no. 11455 and bottled at 53.4% Alc./Vol.

Notes from Adelphi... has a lovely deep gold hue with amber lights. Good beading indicates the likely thick texture normally found in Clynelish bottlings. Mild nose-feel. waxy to start, slightly ashy (dusty drawer, extinguished fire), plenty of rich honey (heather and Acacia), a trace of tangerine (orange oil), and a light coconut sponge. Creamy, buttery and still slightly waxy with water. Teeth-coating, smooth, thick, candlewax on the palate. Sweet and fruity with coconut, lemon drizzle cake and the slightest hint of peat on the long finish.
