1995 Silver Seal Whisky Company Glen Elgin 20 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A gorgeous malt that's emphatically Speyside.

Another in the "Whisky is Classical" series that references Puccini's famous opera, 'Madame Butterfly'. While the major part of production continues to be used in the White Horse blends, Glen Elgin (relatively) recently became available as a single malt. The house style remains mellow and sweetly honeyed and only found as a standard issue 12 year old, excepting the odd indie bottling.

Tasting note: [20ml sample] Brilliant gold. Wavers intensity wise, the best moments yielding super pure, sweet floral notes, developing beeswax and ripe pear and apple. Delicious, full bodied Glen Elgin that’s impossible not to like. 51.9% Alc./Vol.
