1995 Signatory Vintage Benrinnes 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Another consistently 'Top Class' malt according to whisky writer, Charles McLean, Benrinnes is a famously big, robust Speysider, not completely dominated by 'sherrywood' maturation. This one's entirely matured in two hogsheads. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2017 with an outturn of 561 bottles, it's another non chill filtered, cask strength, all-natural whisky from highly regarded indie bottlers, Signatory.

Since 1966, six stills have been run at Benrinnes in two pairs of three. From 1974 on, a form of partial triple distillation was employed to help promote a "meaty/sulphury" character. The first official bottling was under Diageo's Flora & Fauna label in 1997. However, due to demand from blenders, Benrinnes has never become a 'mainstream' brand. 49.7% Alc./Vol.
