One of the oldest Edradours to ever make it to Australia.
Distilled in December 1995 and initially matured in ex-Bourbon Hogsheads, in 2005 it was re-casked into first fill Oloroso Sherry butts for a further twelve years. This bottling is from three of those butts and yielded just over 2000 bottles. The Australian allocation is a tiny fraction of that. Non chill filtered and natural strength. Notes from Edradour... Rich mahogany in colour subtle traces of apples and coconuts from the initial bourbon maturation are combined with sugared almonds, apricots, raisins and a touch of chocolate from the finishing in Oloroso casks, to create a very complex dram with a very rich mouthfeel and a long warming finish. A truly classic Edradour. 56.2% Alc./Vol.
