Tasting note: [15ml sample] Look at the amazing colour on this venerable Highlander. It's also one of the oldest bottlings to date from the Speyside Distillery (est 1991). Drawn from a single sherry butt, as demonstrated by the deep, dark appearance, the nose offers early shellac before honeyed malt, cedar, mixed nuts and background vanillas. Lively for its age. Tannic, bittersweet... Marsala cashews and fresh curry leaves through the finish. Beautiful bouquet but a queer ending. Best with water. From an outturn of 360 bottles 63.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
