1990 Signatory Vintage 30th Anniversary Ben Nevis 27 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Fans of this distillery know just how hard it's been to obtain of late. Thankfully independent bottlings occasionally surface. This one from Signatory approaches the oldest Ben Nevis to hit our shelves, and is all the more fascinating for having been matured in a single Fino sherry butt. Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2018 with an outturn of 593 bottles, we have one only to sell.

Signatory's Managing Director, Andrew Symington describes this as "Merrily straying off the beaten track, with a flavour profile that draws heavily from the world of rum." The ABV is huge for such an old spirit. Celebrating Signatory's 30th anniversary, it comes in a handsome lacquered box with two etched tasting glasses. Very reasonably priced given the rarity and big age statement. 59.4% Alc./Vol.
