1990 Douglas Laing & Co. XOP Xtra Old Particular Strathmill 25 Year Old Single Cask Limited Edition Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

One of only a handful of Strathmills to land on our shelves in 20 years! No wonder it's a distillery unknown to most, with the majority of its produce destined for blends like J&B. With so few malts surfacing, we have the Independent bottlers to thank as a source for whisky fans to sample Strathmill's delights. Michael Jackson once summed up the distillery profile as "whisky's answer to orange Muscat". Douglas Laing describe this as "Attractively sweet with vanilla sponge and late spices developing to old fashioned hard fruit sweets."

Matured in one refill hogshead from December 1990 to February 2016, this was bottled at a natural strength of 47.4% ABV. with zero chill filtration. 209 bottles were produced. The whisky comes handsomely packaged in a wax-dipped bottle with dovetailed wooden box and its own individually numbered certificate.

Please note: slight cracks in the bottle's wax seal are not uncommon. This is not a packaging fault.
