1989 Cadenheads Macallan-Glenlivet 30 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Keep in mind an official 30 year old will set you back well upwards of 12K, so this release really is selling for a song. Matured in a single x Bourbon barrel, Serge Valentin from whiskyfun.com gave the 26 year old from the same series a very strong endorsement (also x Bourbon). Non chill filtered, cask strength and single cask but super limited, this will be one for the lucky few.

Notes from Cadenheads... Nose: Rich and orangey, with soft boiled sweets, peaches and passion fruit with orange bitters and hints of sweet vermouth. Flavour: Hints of sauternes, orange peel, grapefruit and pineapple juice. Loads of tropical fruits. Finish: Initially soft but then becoming creamier and richer with more satsuma and growing nuttiness. Non chill filtered. 42.8% Alc./Vol.
