1986 Adelphi Mortlach 34 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

With the exception of a handful of 50 year olds, this is one of the oldest Mortlachs to date. Filled in 1986, cask # 2035 was a single refill bourbon barrel bottled in 2020. Adelphi's notes say to expect a whisky packed with aromas of baked bananas, marzipan, mead, fruit salad sweeties, peach, apricot and linseed oil. The palate opens rich with honeycomb, walnut praline, hokey pokey ice cream and sea salt before revealing a savoury, herbaceous and extremely lengthy finish. Extremely limited. at 54.2% Alc./Vol. 224 bottles produced.
