1978 Rare Malts Selection Benromach 19 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A Benromach from the pre-modern era - that is, distilled prior to 1983 when the distillery was mothballed. It wasn't until a decade later that Benromach was acquired from United Distillers by Gordon and MacPhail. Production recommenced in 1998 with whiskies peated slightly higher than other Speysiders. This is all the more interesting for being natural strength. Distilled in 1978 and bottled in May 1998. Given that Benromach was established in 1898, Rare Malts released this as a limited edition "Centenary" bottling.
