Discounts on Tesseron Cognacs

Well known by wine lovers as the proprietors of Chateau Pontet Canet and Lafon Rochet in Bordeaux, the Tesseron family are also one of the finest exponents of extra-aged Cognacs. Dealing almost exclusively in X.O, their Grand Champagne vineyards were purchased in the 19th century by Abel Tesseron, whose face features on the company’s logo. Grandsons, Alfred and Gérard carry on the business today and in 2003 made the decision to release a range under their own name. A welcome departure from the big four (Remy, Hennessy, Martell and Courvoisier), Tesseron’s XO house style epitomises a finer, more elegant side of cognac with the range including eaux de vie up to seventy years old. Given that several of their bottlings command luxury prices, this offer is a rare point of entry that’s unlikely to be repeated once discounted stocks sell out.
