Cadenhead's Small Batch Glengoyne 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The latest addition to Cadenhead's collection is a sherry matured Glengoyne 14 Year Old. Glengoyne is notable for using barley that has been dried using warm air, rather than that dried from the smoke of peat fires. Historically, the distillery has also maintained a preference for "Golden Promise" barley, a variety that's less efficient to farm, but said to contribute an attractive oily and nutty flavour to the whisky. Very unusual to see this distillery as an independent release.

According to Cadenheads, expect: "Rich, meaty, sherry notes...thick and chewy with lots of sherry and hints of balsamic vinegar....You can chew this all night. A big whisky...." 46% Alc./Vol.
