The Benrinnes house style tends towards a heavy, meaty malt that's mainly matured in European oak. Due to demand from blenders, it's never become a 'mainstream' brand. This indie release was matured in two hogsheads of undisclosed provenance. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016. Natural colour. A great price for an 18 year old from this underdog distillery.
