Tasting note: Flawless bright gold. Atypical Bowmore aromatics with the Sherry seemingly cancelling out the peat; otherwise...walnuts, leather hand bag and white pepper with a distant whiff of maritime freshness. The oily texture is a delight as is the attractive early malt sweetness, but the tingling, nippy spices and high ABV almost overwhelm the latent flavours towards the finish.
