Bottle
$1199.88 Dozen

Part of Tullibardine’s 'Marquess Collection'. This one’s spent most of its life in first fill Bourbon barrels before been finished in Sicilian Marsala casks.

Other reviews… After initial maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels, this 2006 vintage from Tullibardine was transferred into marsala wine casks for a year of finishing. The nose offers vanilla, ginger, printer’s ink, red wine, plums, milk chocolate, and walnuts. Rich red-berry fruit flavors on the palate—raspberries and cream—plus coffee and cloves. Black treacle and dark chocolate in the slightly earthy finish. Accomplished. 46% Alc./Vol. 88 points

Established in 1949 and mothballed in 1995 by then owners, Whyte & Mackay, Tullibardine recently began a new chapter in its history as of November 2011 when the distillery was purchased by an independent family company already involved in the Whisky Industry (Picard Vins & Spiritueaux). Thus, Tullibardine is notable as one of a handful of Scottish distilleries that remains a family affair (most are owned by international corporations). With a wide portfolio of stock ranging back as far as 1952, the majority of Tullibardine's output is matured in x bourbon and x-sherry casks, stored on-site in traditional dunnage warehouses.
