"Salivating... Allows the top notch Port a clear road." - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2022

A whisky for anyone who loved the now discontinued Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban but perhaps felt their 14 year old replacement wasn't quite up to scratch... Then again, this is likely to please just about every malt lover. Successful Port maturations typically add notes of cherry ripe chocolate and red berries combined with a delicious succulence. According to Jim Murray, this expression really lets the Port rip while avoiding the 'too sweet' trap. Twelve years mellowing in x-Bourbon barrels was followed by a further two years in European oak first-fill casks sourced from Symington Family Vineyards in Portugal’s Upper Duoro Valley. These casks previously held Tawny Port for fifty years. The infusion creates a rich, balanced whisky enhanced by notes of Summer berries, sweet honey and toffee with hints of light fruits and cocoa - in short, the perfect end-of-the-night dram. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered and natural colour.

Other reviews... under-ripe greengage shows some nip and spice; salivating, as a Tomatin delivery so often is. But here we get all juiced up by succulent fruit, helped along by glazed muscvado; the fruit tails off allowing the vanilla and spice an easy ride; allows the top notch port a clear road. 92.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2022
