The Macallan Quest Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Brand new for Macallan (as of 2017) and replacing the 1824 range, is the “Quest” series, scheduled for Travel Retail only. Four expressions (Quest, Lumina, Terra and Enigma ) aim at highlighting a sensory journey that is Macallan’s "passionate and tireless quest for oak".

This is the first significant change to the stable in seven years. “For this character-led range, the liquids are phenomenal,” said Nick Savage, master distiller. “It’s succinct and coherent and we can tell the Macallan story through the casks we have used.”
The blogosphere seems to agree with near unanimous praise for the collection.

The entry level "Quest" combines four cask types, including European and American Sherry-seasoned oak, American ex-Bourbon and hogshead casks. Fans of younger whiskies in the Macallan’s Fine Oak range should find plenty to enjoy here with soft flavours of citrus, apple and sweet spices. 40% Alc./Vol.
