An Islay malt that's shrouded in mystery: No age statement and from undisclosed provenance. Almost as obscure as the label. Not sure what the artist is trying to say here...Mining for garlic? That popular pursuit. Looks like a Coal mine, actually, and the French for garlic is...

Notes from the bottler as follows: Nose: Rich linseed, fennel seeds, cornflakes, a slice of lemon and a little soot from the mine! Palate: Yellow plum and fragrant spice with oily mouthfeel and that sooty character never far away. Finish: Long with cask char, wood smoke and a touch of lingering cumin. 56.9% Alc./Vol. 1260 bottles produced.
