Tasting note: Pale in color, with a gold/green tinge. Exotic fruit (papaya, coconut, kiwi) with gentle sweet notes (vanilla, honey, pancake syrup, marshmallow), spiced with fresh, appetizing brine and anise. The brine lingers on the finish, as do some molasses toffee notes. Dynamic and well-rounded. 54.2% Alc./Vol. Rating: 85 points

Other reviews... Nose: Herbal. Aromatic. Fragrant but the alcohol bite masks the aromas at start. Then smooths on rich cream (Jersey clotted cream?) and freshly churned butter. Gooseberry fool. Palate: Surprisingly sweet. Star anis. A hint of passion fruit. Sherbet dib-dabs. Finish: Quite short, fading quickly. Comment: Mellows once the alcohol has evaporated, especially with water. A good summer refresher. Rating: 87 points
