Tasting note: Remarkable for its age with a deep, polished copper penny colour showing considerable viscosity. Brief air contact releases expansive aromas of dense sponge cake, dates, lanolin and ginger biscuit with further air contact adding fruit toast-like notes, cinnamon and smokey cardamom to the mix. Wow! Completely unexpected is the amazing softness of the delivery; mildly bittersweet on entry dovetailing into a superb cascade of dates, cocoa and sweet spice; Super long with dates, liquorice root and lanolin in the aftertaste.
