Springbank Local Barley 11 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is the second release of what is a truly 100% Campbeltown malt.
Springbank has produced "Local Barley" bottlings before, but new expressions have been a long time coming. This is the second in a series of five to be released over five years, taking a leaf out of Bruichladdich's belief that 'terroir' matters. For this edition, Springbank have sourced 'Brere' barley from Aros Farm. To be precise, 13 tonnes of barley across 4 hectares. The whisky was distilled in February 2006 and bottled in February 2017 after maturation in 36 x Bourbon casks with an outturn of 9000 bottles.
