Always one of the more limited Spring Bay offerings, French oak x Port casks give a polished copper coin tint with attractive, fresh barrel pick up on the nose; hints of dried cranberry and light cherry follow in a dense, juicy malt of remarkable freshness and poise. Notes from the bottler... Colour: Rose Gold. Nose: Sweet and complex aromas suggest butterscotch and Christmas muscatels. Palate: Sweet caramel syrup and plum pudding spices join a clean, bright alcohol explosion which spreads across the palate to settle in and glow with some soft oaky tannins. Finish: Hints of cherry cordial and some nutty undertones that clearly displays the quality of both the spirit and the wood in developing harmony. 58% Alc./Vol.
