Southern Coast Distillers Batch 005 Museum Release Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

The word is out, unfortunately this little venture is no longer. A formal newsletter was sent to Southern Coast Distillers members on December 4th, 2012 which can be found here.

We have secured some of the final stocks of the Inaugural Batch 001 along with extremely limited stocks of Batch 003 and 005. Whilst it's hard to decipher whether stocks will fly out the door in light of this news, or experience steady price increases over a period of time, given the reputation, we hint that this may well be one of Australia's first cult distilleries.

Producers notes for Batch 005:
Filled into a re-made and re-furbished, heavily toasted sherry cask made from American oak in October 2008, this cask was bottled in January 2012. Made from the same spirit run as batch #003, this shows what a difference a cask and a few extra months in oak can make. Both are lovely whiskies, but quite different.
