Southern Coast Distillers Batch 004 Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

Whisky fans should keep an eye out for new releases from the Southern Coast Distilling company, a small venture formed in May 2004 by three friends and their partners. To date, all the company’s activities have been carried out during spare time and funded, effectively with pocket money, however the group are already producing some of Australia's most compelling examples.

Batch 4: Distilled and barrelled in September 2007 into a 100 litre American oak port cask, this batch was bottled in December 2011 at a tad over 4 yeras of age.
The Angels' share was about 4.6% P/A, more than double the typical rate in Scotland due to spending some of those years maturing on the Adelaide Plains before being shifted to the more moderate climate in the Adelaide Hills.
